Does Lactoferrine Active+ contain iron?
No iron is added. Lactoferrine Active+ contains only Proferrin® lactoferrin, a milk protein and a registered trademark of Ingredia: 500 mg for 2 capsules, of which 475 mg of pure lactoferrin, plus a plant-based capsule. The name Proferrin is also used in the United States by another manufacturer for a heme iron supplement, which has no connection with this product.
Are Biologyst formulas reviewed by a scientific committee?
Yes. The scientific committee, made up of physicians, pharmacists, nutrition specialists and health professionals, takes part in the literature review, the assessment of the level of evidence, the choice of raw materials, the doses, the interactions between ingredients and the final review of each formula.
